Symptoms and PSP

03/24/2026

I thought it would be interesting to list the symptoms I’ve been having from what iappears to be PSP in contrast to the symptoms that I listed in my last post.

They are:

  • Weakness on my left side. (yes)
  • “Pisa syndrome” – body leans to the right when seated or standing.
  • Difficulty changing position in bed. (yes)
  • Drooling.(yes. a lot)
  • Accumulation of mucus in my throat when lying on my back.(yes)
  • Lack of dexterity when using my left hand – difficulty with typing and with buttons.(yes)
  • Slowness of movement. Short steps.(yes)
  • Frequent loss of balance.(yes)
  • Constipation.(yes)
  • Lack of energy, lethargy, fogginess.(yes)
  • Tremors.(yes)
  • Swallowing problems (new)
  • Changing positions in bed (new)
  • Eye tearing (new)
  • Soft speaking (new)

All these problems have gotten worse. I have to use a walker to get around. I have to have someone help me get dressed in the morning. In addition to all of this, I have urinary problems. I had a TURP procedure a couple of months ago, and the frequency of my urination has increased dramatically. However, the good news is that Gail and I set up a desk in my apartment and I have access to my computer, which I didn’t have previously. I intend to be posting more often because of that.

I am dictating these comments, and therefore they may be a little disjointed.
